The Magic of Maths

Image
We have been focusing on Maths a lot and how to incorporate mathematical skills into games and mathematical concepts into our play. Our focus is always number identification and knowledge (what comes before or after a number). At the moment we are also exploring the concept of measuring height and length by comparison. We are taking this concept further by building tall towers, castles and marble runs in the Ako Room  and talking about how we can make them even taller. Now we are moving into length with ramps and tracks. Be sure to check your tamariki's Seesaw account to hear the audio attached to these pictures, explaining all the mathematical learning that is involved in their play. Also check our Seesaw Blog for items tamariki want to share with the world.
